Applications open every January through our online enrollment portal at SchoolMint. You can get started by scheduling a tour using the calendar on this page, and our enrollment team will walk you through every required step. You will need to submit a birth certificate, proof of Austin residency such as a utility bill or lease, immunization records, and previous school records if your child is transferring from another school.

Test Charter Academy serves students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. We currently have open seats in several grade levels, including Kindergarten and 6th grade. Contact our enrollment team through the tour calendar to learn about availability for your child's specific grade.

Test Charter Academy uses a lottery-based enrollment process. Applications are reviewed within 5 business days, and lottery results are sent out within 2 weeks of the application deadline. Families are notified of their results by email. Applying early is encouraged so your family does not miss the application window.

Our average class size is 18 students per teacher, which is one of the lowest student-to-teacher ratios in the district. Smaller classes allow our teachers to give every student personalized attention and build genuine relationships with each family. Every student also receives a personalized learning plan reviewed quarterly with their family.

Yes. Test Charter Academy offers extended care from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for an additional fee. The regular school day runs from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM. Early release days occur at 12:30 PM on the first Friday of every month.

Every student in grades 3 through 8 receives a school-issued Chromebook, and Kindergarten through 2nd grade classrooms share iPad carts. We have a dedicated STEM lab with weekly robotics and coding classes for grades 3 through 8. We also offer honors math and honors reading starting in 5th grade, an accelerated STEM track in 7th and 8th grade, a middle school band program, an after school drama club, and sports including flag football, soccer, basketball, and track and field for grades 5 through 8.
